LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- Authorities have released the name of a man who died in a single-vehicle crash that happened Friday morning on Arnoldtown Road.

The victim was 40-year-old Christopher Braun, according to Deputy Coroner Jack Arnold. Braun died from multiple blunt force injuries sustained in the crash, according to Arnold.

LMPD spokesperson Dwight Mitchell says Braun was driving a black Lincoln, lost control of the vehicle and hit a tree near the intersection of Arnoldtown Road and Timber Hills Road around 11:15 a.m. The coroner says Braun was pronounced dead at the scene.

Police say an 18-month-old boy restrained in a child seat in the back seat of the vehicle survived the crash with minor injuries. The child was taken to Norton Children's Hospital to be examined.
