LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- LMPD is investigating after a 15-year-old boy showed up at the Norton Children's Hospital ER with gunshot wounds to both legs.
Officers were dispatched to club Krush around 3 a.m. Sunday on a report that a male had been shot in the leg.
Norton Children's Hospital later notified police that a 15-year-old had walked into the ER with gunshot wounds to his legs.
"I was standing out front with the uniform officer and my security and we heard gunshots over here on the side of the building," said Tony Washington, who owns club Krush.
He said when he came back to the front of the building, the victim was running around the corner. Washington said the 15-year-old was never inside club Krush.
At that point, Washington said the officer already scene told the boy's friends to take him to hospital because they could get there faster than an ambulance could.
"We at least have one uniformed officer at all times when we have a party, sometimes we have four," Washington said.
LMPD's Major Crimes Unit is investigating.
No arrests have been made.
