LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- Police say a Louisville man admitted to drinking and driving, then snorting heroin before he was found passed out in a car with a 14-month-old girl in the backseat.

According to the arrest report, on Aug. 4 around 7:30 p.m. officers were sent to the 10400 block of Greentree Lane near Dixie Highway in south Louisville on reports of a man down.

Officers arriving at the scene determined the man, 42-year-old Cody Bell, had overdosed and was given medical assistance. After being revived, police say Bell refused further medical treatment.

Police say a 14-month-old girl in the backseat "appeared to be dehydrated" and had soiled herself. They were unable to tell how long the girl had been in the seat.

The arrest report states Bell admitted to drinking and driving, and told police he then "decided to pull over and snort heroin."

The child was cleaned up and returned to her mother, identified by police as Bell's girlfriend.

Bell was arrested and charged with one count of wanton endangerment.
