WASHINGTON (WDRB) -- The FBI conducted a raid on President Donald Trump's former campaign manager's home last month.

The Washington Post reports that agents served a search warrant on the Alexandria, Virginia home of Paul Manafort.  The warrant was issued to look for documents and other materials connected to the special counsel investigation into Russian meddling in the 2016 election.

The raid happened in the pre-dawn hours of July 26, according to the paper's sources. That raid came a day after he voluntarily met with the staff for the Senate Intelligence Committee.

The Washington Post says the search warrant "indicates investigators may have argued to a federal judge they had reason to believe Manafort could not be trusted to turn over all records in response to a grand jury subpoena."
