Mt. Washington man accused of threatening Bullitt County teacher

LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- A Mt. Washington man has been arrested after police say he threatened a Bullitt County teacher during a school function.

According to an arrest warrant, it happened on Saturday, April 29, just before 4:30 p.m., during an unspecified event.

Police say 47-year-old Kevin L. Thornberry is a parent of a student. While at the function, he allegedly "accosted" a teacher from Crossroads Elementary in Mt. Washington.

According to the warrant, he "got face-to-face" with the teacher and screamed obscenities in a "very threatening" and "intimidating" manner.

A warrant was issued for Thornberry's arrest on Friday, May 19, and he was arrested by the Mt. Washington Police Department on Tuesday, Aug. 8, just before 10 a.m. He's charged with menacing and abuse of a teacher.
