LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- When it comes to basketball fans, Kentucky and Syracuse really draw a big crowd, but Louisville isn't far behind.

The NCAA released its annual attendance figures Tuesday, and the Wildcats led the nation with an average attendance of more than 23,000 people. They had an overall number of nearly 400,000 fans for the 2016-17 season.

The Orange averaged 21.000 fans per game, and Louisville came in third with just over 20,000 fans in attendance per game.

North Carolina and Maryland rounded out the top five.
