LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- No injuries were reported after a CSX train hit a tractor-trailer early Thursday morning near Pewee Valley.

According to LMPD spokesman Dwight Mitchell, it happened sometime around 10:30 a.m. at Reamers Road and LaGrange Road. That's when police say it appears the driver of the semi, who was southbound on Westport Road, failed to notice the railroad crossing gate coming down while attempting to turn right onto LaGrange Road.

Mitchell says the crossing gate got caught between the cab and trailer of the semi, trapping the truck on the tracks. The train was unable to stop in time to avoid hitting the semi.

Crews were able to clear the scene around 2 p.m.
