LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- Louisville Metro Police say a man was arrested after two children -- ages 1 and 7 -- were found in a home with a large amount of drugs, guns and cash.

According to an arrest report, the incident occurred on Thursday at 10:30 p.m. at the 4400 block of Jennymac Drive, near the intersection of S. Crums Lane and Cane Run Road.

Police say they executed a search warrant at the home of 30-year-old Vanray O'Neal. Inside the home, they allegedly found the two children, along with a "large amount" of a "brown powder substance," suspected to be heroin, as well as methamphetamine, marijuana, empty sandwich bags, digital scales and a large amount of cash hidden in a couch.

Police say they also found three guns. According to the arrest report, O'Neal is a convicted felon who is not legally permitted to own guns.

He was arrested and charged with two counts of trafficking in a controlled substance, possession of marijuana, possession of drug paraphernalia, possession of a handgun by a convicted felon and receipt of stolen property.

O'Neal is currently being held in Louisville Metro Corrections.
