LACETT | Louisville City dominates in front of record setting crowd
It was the first win over Cincy for Louisville this year in four tries.
LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) – A sellout and a shutout. Yes, from start to finish, everything went right for Louisville Saturday night.
In front of a record crowd of better than 13,000 fans, the Boys in Purple destroyed rival Cincinnati 5-0, picking up their first win in four tries this year against their biggest rivals.
Luke Spencer was the star of the night for Louisville with one goal and two assists.
The win helped Louisville gain ground in a very crowded USL Eastern Conference. The Boys in Purple moved into a tie for second place with Charleston, only two points back of division leading Charlotte.
Louisville is back in action next Sunday at Bethlehem.
