Indiana man airlifted to hospital in critical condition after off-road vehicle accident

LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- Indiana conservation officers are investigating after an off-road vehicle accident Sunday in Nineveh, in northern Brown County, Indiana. 

According to a news release, officers were dispatched to the 8700 block of Nineveh Road around 4 p.m. on a reported accident. 

Witnesses told responding officers the driver lost control and veered off the road, hitting a barn. 

38-year-old Christopher Oder, of Indianapolis, was flown to an area hospital in critical condition with head trauma. 

Oder was not wearing a helmet at the time of the accident. 

Indiana Conservation Officers continue to investigate. Alcohol is believed to have played a role in the crash.
