LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- A busy intersection near the University of Louisville is back open after a police standoff ended without any injury.

MetroSafe said that Louisville Metro Police called out a SWAT and a hostage negotiation team to a home on Lilly Avenue about 2:50 p.m. That's an area east of Crittenden Drive north of Eastern Parkway.

The standoff ended with no injuries about two hours later. The incident started with an EMS call to a home in the 500-block of Lilly, police said.

Officers took one man into custody at the scene. It was not clear if police would pursue charges against him, metro police spokesman Dwight Mitchell said.
