LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- Bullitt County Schools has canceled class next Monday for the total solar eclipse.

The district's school board unanimously approved the decision Monday night.

Aug. 21 will now be considered a professional development day.

The district said the change will allow students and staff members to take full advantage of viewing the solar eclipse.
