4 arrested after police find drugs in New Albany home

LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- Indiana State Police said four people have been arrested after drugs were found inside a southern Indiana home.

Troopers arrested 33-year-old Jamie Ray Scheckles on Monday for a probation violation, according to a news release. Troopers allegedly entered a home on East Oak Street in New Albany and also arrested 26-year-old Brittany Lynn Prather, 34-year-old Kevin Martin and 37-year-old Tia Edelen. Police said  heroin, meth, marijuana, drug paraphernalia and more than $1,200 in cash were located.

Sheckles, Prather and Martin are each charged with dealing in a controlled substance, cocaine possession, dealing in a controlled substance, meth possession, possession of a controlled substance, dealing marijuana, marijuana possession, paraphernalia possession and maintaining a common nuisance.

Edelen is charged with failure to appear.

Sheckles was taken to the Clark County Jail. Prather, Martin and Edelen were taken to the Floyd County Jail.
