LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- Jefferson County Public Schools is asking for the public's help to name the district's new Males of Color Academy.

According to a news release from the school district, community members are invited to send their suggestions to jcps.communications@jefferson.kyschools.us. 

"All ideas will be considered as the district works this month to recommend a formal name of the new middle school program to the Jefferson County Board of Education," the news release indicated.

The name is expected to be presented to the JCPS Board of Education on Sept. 1, and the full administrative team is expected to be in place on Jan. 1, 2018.
