Boil water advisory declared in Jeffersonville and Charlestown after water main break

LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- A 16-inch water main break has sparked a boil water advisory for Watson Water customers in Jeffersonville and Charlestown.

The company released a statement just before 10 p.m Tuesday saying all customers on Shungate Road, Salem Noble Road and any roads branching off of Salem Noble Road in Jeffersonville should boil their water.

The advisory also affects all Watson Water customers in Charlestown and any customers who live on Charlestown Pike from Utica Sellersburg Road to Highway 62.

The boil water advisory is in effect for 48 hours.
