LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- Kentucky's governor has launched a new website to help educate the state's residents about the looming pension crisis.

The state's pension system is $64 billion short of what it needs to pay retirement benefits over the next 30 years.

Governor Matt Bevin has launched KentuckyPensions.com, a website which includes frequently asked questions and current plan benefits. Bevin says the state has a legal and moral obligation to fulfill promises made to retirees.

A special session is likely to come for lawmakers to fix the broken system.
