Free health screenings to be offered at Park DuValle on Saturday
Attendees can have their blood pressure, glucose and cholesterol checked for free.
LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- Free health screenings, physicals, food and music will be available at the Park DuValle Community Health Fair on Saturday.
Attendees can have their blood pressure, glucose and cholesterol checked for free. Each year, hundreds of back-to-school and sports physicals are done. Officials say the fair also introduces neighbors to the offerings at the Park DuValle Community Health Center.
"We find a lot of community residents that don't have a medical home, so they don't have a primary care provider," said Dr. Brennan Greene, of the Eye Care Institute. "They don't know where to see out women's services or pediatrics services or behavioral health services. So Park DuValle does offer all of that."
The event runs from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Saturday, Aug. 19, at the Park DuValle Community Health Center on Wilson Avenue. It will also include free school supplies, a bounce house and giveaways.
