LOUISVILLE, Ky (WDRB) -- Big crowds converged on the Kentucky State Fair Saturday on what was expected to be the busiest day.

President and CEO Jason Rittenberry said an estimated 70,000 people would visit the fair on Saturday.

Spectators attending will notice a few changes this year including a new location for the rides.

The event also added express lanes for people who bought their tickets online to speed up the flow of traffic.

"We've been averaging about 80 cars every three minutes in those express lanes and so those are great numbers," Rittenberry said.

The fair brought in international visitors like Ananya Khanna, who was visiting family in Kentucky from New Delhi.

“It’s totally amazing actually. I’m from India and I visited this fair for the first time,” Khanna said.

If you missed a chance to make it out Saturday, the fair runs through next Sunday.
