LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- A Milwaukee woman is facing serious charges after authorities say she spiked a 10-year-old boy's slushie, then sexually assaulted him.

According to a probable cause affidavit, the allegations came to light on Aug. 8. Police say the boy's father contacted the Village of Greendale Police in Wisconsin to report that his child had been sexually assaulted days earlier, when he was staying at the home of 35-year-old Tara Gotovnik.

The boy told officers that, days earlier, he drank a slushie that Gotovnik's friend had made for him. At that point he said he threw up -- and Gotovnik gave him a "sleeping pill," cutting it up into four pieces before giving it to him. But, he said, the pill didn't make him sleep. It made him "stay awake and feel sick."

She then sexually assaulted him, according to the affidavit.

The affidavit also details the boy's account of another alleged sexual assault that occurred months earlier, when Gotovnik made him take a pill that caused him to "become dizzy," lose coordination and throw up.

On Aug. 10, police say they executed a search warrant at Gotovnik's home, where they found several pill containers and other evidence related to the alleged sexual assault.

When confronted about the sexual assault allegations, Gotovnik allegedly said, "I don't remember anything about that night." According to the probable cause affidavit, she later admitted to giving the child Ambien on two occasions.

Gotovnik has been arrested and charged with first-degree sexual assault of a child and delivery of a controlled substance.
