SHEPHERDSVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- Three people were hurt in a construction accident in Bullitt County.

Workers assembling a crane were injured, when part of it fell to the ground. None of the injuries are believed to be life-threatening, said Kentucky Transportation Cabinet spokesperson Andrea Clifford.

The accident happened about 11:30 a.m. Wednesday at Coral Ridge Road (Kentucky 1020) and North Preston Highway (Kentucky 61).
The workers were lifting part of the crane, when the "lifting eye," the mechanism holding the part, broke, Clifford said.

Crane company employees were part of a widening project on Kentucky 61, which includes building a new bridge over nearby railroad tracks, Clifford said.
