LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) - There's now a low-cost option for people who want to travel to Europe from an airport near Louisville.

WOW Air, a low-cost transatlantic airline that operates out of Iceland, is introducing international flights at the Cincinnati/Northern Kentucky International Airport. Travelers can purchase 1-way tickets to Iceland for as low as $99.

Flights to London, Paris, Berlin, Dublin, and Amsterdam and other major European cities start at $149.

WOW Air, known as the purple airline, uses Airbus A320, Airbus A321 and Airbus A330 planes and its fleet of planes are all relatively new, with an average aircraft age of just two years.

The inaugural flight from Cincinnati to Iceland is set for May 10, 2018.
