LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- A low-cost airline is offering cheap, nonstop flights from Louisville to Las Vegas.

Allegiant Airlines announced Thursday it will offer one-way fares as low as $54. The new flights will operate twice a week starting in November.

Allegiant said to get the introductory price, you must book by Friday, Aug. 25, 2017 for travel by May 15, 2018.  

The new flights will operate twice weekly between Louisville International Airport and Las Vegas, via McCarran International Airport, beginning on Nov. 16, 2017. 

Allegiant now will serve eight routes from Louisville, including nonstop service to Phoenix, Savannah, Georgia, Hilton Head, South Carolina and five destinations in Florida. Those routes include Destin/Fort Walton Beach, Fort Lauderdale, Fort Myers/Punta Gorda, Orlando/Sanford and Tampa/St. Pete.

The airline started flying out of Louisville earlier this year.
