LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- An Indiana couple is mourning the loss of their two-year-old son, who died after accidentally closing his own neck in the window of a car.

Logan Vanderkleed was napping in the car, his dad working 30 feet away. He woke up at some point, and somehow rolled down the car window, before then rolling it back up again, catching his neck.

He was rushed to the hospital, but he passed away Thursday morning after a week of fighting.

"We go to do something and it reminds us of Logan, and it hurts," said Drew Vanderkleed, the boy's father. "We cry. And then when that passes, we find some joy."

Drew made a Facebook page honoring his son called, "Love for Logan," and it has received more than 40,000 likes.
