St. Matthews business catches fire after car crashes into building
The driver of the car says she pulled into the parking lot, after hearing a loud noise.
LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- A St. Matthews business was hit by a car and caught fire on Sunday night.
The Gaddie Eye Center across from Oxmoor Center suffered significant damage to the front of its building.
Louisville Metro Police say a woman driving on Shelbyville Road said her car began making noise just before 9 p.m. Sunday.
The driver told police that she pulled into the parking lot of the business, heard a loud pop and the vehicle caught fire. She says the brakes wouldn't work, and she crashed into the building.
When police and fire arrived, everyone was out of the vehicle. No one was injured.
Police are still investigating what happened.
