LMPD: Woman stabbed child's father in chest with knife
The stab wound to the man's chest punctured his lung, according to police.
LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- Louisville Metro Police have arrested a woman authorities say stabbed a male victim in the chest with a knife.
Alashiea Lewis, 21, was arrested on Monday in the 4000 block of Bishop Lane, near Gardiner Lane and Newburg Road. The alleged incident happened on Nov. 10, according to police.
According to an arrest report, the victim is the father of Lewis' child.
Police say the victim stated Lewis was angry and threw an e-cigarette at him, which hit him in the nose, while they were in Lewis' vehicle.
Officials say Lewis continued to yell at the victim as she was driving.
According to police, at one point, Lewis stopped the car and the victim exited.
Investigators say Lewis chased the victim with her car until he "gave up and got back into the vehicle."
Lewis then continued to yell and threaten the victim until they arrived at a gas station, according to officials. Police say once the car stopped, the victim ran away.
Authorities say Lewis chased the the victim with her car. According to police, she then exited her car and ran after him.
Police say Lewis then cut the victim on his forearm and "stabbed him in the chest with a fishing knife." The stab wound to the man's chest punctured his lung, according to police. He was taken to U of L Hospital for treatment.
Lewis is charged with first-degree assault and terroristic threatening.
