UPDATE: Authorities identify pedestrian killed while crossing the street in Shively
Authorities have identified a man who died after being hit by a car on Crums Lane in Shively Thursday night.
SHIVELY, Ky. (WDRB) -- Authorities have identified a man who died after being hit by a car on Crums Lane in Shively Thursday night.
According to the Jefferson County Coroner's Office, that man has been identified as 35-year-old James William Hall, of Louisville.
Shively Police said it happened just before 6 p.m. A driver was traveling westbound on Crums Lane, near North Lane, when Hall was hit as he was walking across the street. He died after being transported to University Hospital.
The coroner's office lists his cause of death as multiple blunt impact injuries sustained in a collision between a motor vehicle and a pedestrian.
The driver stopped and cooperated with police, and Lt. Col. John Myers said he or she showed no signs of impairment.
The LMPD Traffic Unit is assisting the Shively Police Department with the investigation.
