LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- The owner of a trash-filled house in New Albany owes more than $35,000 for the clean-up bill.

In October, crews removed trash and old cars from a yard on Hausfeldt Lane.

At that time, Floyd County was stuck with the $25,000 clean-up bill. On Tuesday, a judge ruled that homeowner Jarrett Hamilton has to cover cover the bill.

He also has to reimburse the county nearly $11,000 in attorney fees.

The judge also says Hamilton can't have trash on his property and only two cars there. He is ordered to leave the home until he comes up with a plan to make it liveable.
