LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- A Louisville man is facing charges after police say he stole bleachers from Highview Baptist Church's Valley Station campus.

According to an arrest report, the bleachers were stolen on Dec. 5, from the campus located at 5415 Valley Station Road, near the intersection with Dixie Highway.

Police say 33-year-old Donald Brooks admitted to stealing the bleachers. He allegedly told officers that he pulled his F-150 up to a nearby Mr. Gatti's Pizza and walked back-and-forth between his truck and the rear side of the church, carrying two sets of bleachers at a time.

He said it took about two hours to complete the thefts.

He's charged with theft by unlawful taking.

Brooks was already facing charges in connection with the theft of aluminum bleachers from Pleasure Ridge Park High School. He was arrested last month and charged with criminal trespassing, theft, failure to maintain insurance and operating on a suspended license in connection with that case.
