Hardin County Sheriff's deputy shoots suspect near Elizabethtown, KSP says
A Hardin County Sheriff's deputy shot someone near Elizabethtown on Thursday evening, Kentucky State Police dispatchers said.
HARDIN COUNTY, Ky. (WDRB) - A Hardin County Sheriff's deputy shot a man near Elizabethtown on Thursday evening, Kentucky State Police said.
It happened around 5:30 p.m. at Bacon Creek Road and KY 222 near the Western Kentucky Parkway. KSP said officers tried to pull the suspect over for reckless driving. The man then made a U-turn, but KSP isn't releasing many other details on what led to the shooting.
The suspect was airlifted to University Hospital in Louisville, where he is in serious condition. The deputy wasn't injured.
The deputy is on paid administrative leave as KSP investigates.
