LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- Hundreds of people helped to feed the Louisville community Tuesday night by feeding themselves.
Dozens of restaurants and beverage vendors from across the city made up the 31st annual Taste of Derby Festival, serving up their finest dishes and drinks at Louisville Slugger Field.
The event is one of the biggest fundraisers for the Dare to Care Food Bank.
"A forth of our top independent restaurants are here," said event chairman Michael Sadofsky. "We've got people who are serving anywhere from shucked oysters to prime rib to desserts, coffees ... a whole variety of things."
Dare to Care provides meals for a 13-county area. Last year, more than 20 million pounds of food moved through its warehouse.
