Louisville woman arrested after allegedly overdosing while 2-year-old niece was in vehicle with her
Police say 26-year-old Megan Nall was inside a vehicle when she overdosed on "an unknown intravenous narcotic officers believed to be heroin."
LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- A woman has been arrested after police say she overdosed in a vehicle while her 2-year-old niece was inside.
The incident took place on April 9, according to an arrest report. Police say 26-year-old Megan Nall was inside a vehicle, when she overdosed on "an unknown intravenous narcotic officers believed to be heroin."
At the time, her 2-year-old niece was inside the vehicle with her, according to the arrest report. Police say they were waiting for the child's mother to arrive.
When police arrived, they say Nall was outside the vehicle and CPR was being performed on her. Police say the child was still inside the vehicle, along with an uncapped needle.
A warrant was issued for Nall's arrest on April 11, and she was taken into custody on Thursday afternoon. She's charged with first-degree wanton endangerment.
Nall is currently being held in Louisville Metro Corrections.
