LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- Toyota unveils its Kentucky-made 2019 Avalon.
The fifth-generation Avalon is produced at Toyota Motor Manufacturing Kentucky in Georgetown.
It features Apple CarPlay and engine sound enhancement, and is available with a V-6 or four cylinder engine.
"My team has worked very hard from the very beginning stages three years ago working with design. We've done things like study material compatibility so you're not getting those strange cabin noises. We act as the voice of the customer, so anywhere we can see that we can really hit the mark with this Avalon, you're going to see that we did it," said Karen Cooper, a quality engineering manager for Toyota.
Toyota recently invested over $1 billion in new equipment at the Georgetown plant.
It produces more than 500,000 cars and 600,000 engines each year.
It's also where the Toyota Camry and Lexus ES 350 are also produced.
