LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- A Louisville man was arrested Tuesday afternoon after police say he tried to arrange a meeting with a juvenile girl and her mother for the purpose of engaging in sex acts.
According to an arrest report, 41-year-old Johnathan Paul Hoyer posted an online sexual ad that got the attention of law enforcement.
On April 18, an undercover investigator with the Kentucky State Police Electronic Crimes Branch began communicating online with Hoyer.
Police say Hoyer tried to arrange a meeting with a juvenile girl and her mother, for "illegal sexual interaction on a specific day and time."
He was ultimately arrested by investigators on Tuesday afternoon. He's charged with engaging in the prohibited use of an electronic communications system to procure a minor or peace officer for sexual offenses.
He is currently being held at Louisville Metro Corrections.
