LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- Spencerian College is celebrating its big move.

The college held a ribbon-cutting Friday morning for its new 44,000 square-foot campus on Dupont Circle in Saint Matthews.

Previously, the campus was on Dixie Highway in Shively for 25 years. The new location puts Spencerian College in a healthcare hub near three hospitals and several medical offices.

Another perk of the move involves updated equipment, including mock operating rooms.

"We've put...numerous labs in: radiology, medical lab tech, respiratory therapy," said Jan Gordon, executive director of Spencerian College. "It's just a beautiful facility, and we're just very excited about it."

Students started taking classes at the new campus in January.
