LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- The Worthington and Middletown Fire Departments responded to a house fire in the 4600 block of Oak Forest Road, near Westport Road in far northeastern Jefferson County.

Responders found a woman in her 30s inside the home laying on a couch, according to the chief. The woman was breathing and taken to U of L Hospital for treatment, though her current condition is unknown.

A MetroSafe supervisor says the fire was reported Wednesday about 1:30 p.m.

The fire has been extinguished, but crews are continuing to watch for hot spots.
