Expect noise and blasts as Fort Knox plans training May 2-8

FORT KNOX, Ky. (WDRB) -- Residents near Fort Knox should expect a little noise during the next week.
The Post said it plans training May 2 through May 8. Fort Knox posted on social media that it will be "firing larger caliber weapons" in its training area. People who live nearby will hear "louder than normal blasts."
The Post says the training will involve military aircraft and weapons firing during the day and at night. Fort Knox says the training is "an important aspect of maintaining critical capabilities and readiness of all units."
