LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- Wagner's Pharmacy, next to Churchill Downs, is in the thick of Kentucky Derby fever, and it's ready for it.

Each year, the diner on the corner of Fourth Street and Central Avenue makes minor improvements to welcome visitors to Derby City. This week, it got a new sign to match its horseshoe logo, new windows and added more commemorative memorabilia.

Owner Lee Wagner said his business will see between 50,000 and 60,000 customers this week. That's at least ten to 20 times the business than normal.

"It's exciting but it's a lot of work, a lot of late hours. So, we were here, it's usually somewhere between eight to nine at night, sometimes midnight," Wagne said.

Wagner's Pharmacy will have a beer garden on Friday and Saturday, with 20 percent of the sales going to the Permanently Disabled Jockey's Fund.
