LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- A 33-year-old man died after a triple shooting Sunday night in west Louisville.

It happened around 9:30 p.m. Sunday on Cecil Avenue near West Kentucky Street in the Chickasaw neighborhood. The Jefferson County Coroner's Office said Jeffrey Flanigan, 33, was pronounced dead from gunshot wounds.

Andrea Carr, who lives in the Chickasaw neighborhood, said Sunday night's violence is nothing new.

"It doesn't surprise me, because it happens all the time," Carr said. "We always hear a lot of gunshots all the time."

Police say two other victims were taken to University Hospital with gunshot wounds, but there's no word on their condition.

Carr has lived in the area for eight years. She said her sister was shot and killed in 2016, and she's tired of the violence.

"I understand people get upset, angry for whatever reason, but it's not that serious," she said. "It should never be that serious that you're taking someone's loved one away."

No suspects have been arrested so far. Anyone with information is asked to call the crime tip line at 574-LMPD. Callers can remain anonymous.
