Ford suspends production of F-150 trucks after fire at Michigan plant
The company is also temporarily suspending production of the Ford F-Series Super Duty at the Kentucky Truck Plant.
LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- Ford is suspending production of F-150 trucks after a fire at its plant in Dearborn, Michigan.
The fire caused the company to run out of parts for the nation's best-selling vehicle.
The company is also temporarily suspending production of the Ford F-Series Super Duty Truck at its Kentucky Truck Plant; however, production of the Super Duty Truck will continue at Ford's Ohio plant.
The shutdowns could last for several weeks.
Ford says it has an 84-day supply of the F-Series trucks at dealerships and says there will not be a shortage in the near future.
