POLICE: Louisville man arrested after child pornography images traced to his home
Investigators with the Kentucky State Police say he admitted to the crime.
LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- A Louisville man was arrested on child pornography charges Thursday evening.
According to an arrest report, investigators with Kentucky State Police were conducting an undercover investigation when a computer at the home of 23-year-old Darren Ringenberg was linked to child pornography.
On May 10, just before 6 p.m., police confronted Ringenberg at his apartment on West Creek Way, near Westport Middle School. According to the arrest report, Ringenberg admitted to possessing child pornography -- and to viewing them online.
He was arrested and charged with 20 counts of possession or viewing of matter portraying a sexual performance by a minor.
