LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- Waterfront Park was a busy place yet again this weekend, all to remember those who fight for the health of mothers and babies.

The March of Dimes held its biggest fundraiser of the year Saturday morning, the March For Babies, along the river in Louisville. Following the walk, there was entertainment, activities, face-painting and games.

But it was not just an event for the kids. Several nurses and doctors were reunited with the families they helped as their children were going through a difficult time. Parents said it was comforting to be around others with similar situations.

"It's really our one thing we do every year that helps us to come together and remember our baby we lost and help celebrate what we've went through and what everybody else has gone through," Kayla Douglas said.

Representatives from Commonwealth Bank Ford and Passport Health were on hand for the event.
