TARC passes give youths unlimited bus rides for the summer

LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- A special pass for anyone of ages 6 to 19 goes on sale later this month.

According to a news release, the TARC Summer Youth Pass will be available beginning Monday, May 21. The pass enables youths to take unlimited TARC rides on all routes.

The cost is $30.

"We encourage young people and employers to consider the Summer Youth Pass as a viable tool to access summer jobs via transit," said J. Barry Barker, executive director of TARC, in a statement.

"Coupled with Metro Louisville's Cultural Pass, presented by Churchill Downs, both passes give youth the freedom to learn, play and explore all summer long."

All TARC buses are equipped with bicycle racks, free Wi-Fi and are ADA accessible, according to the news release.

The pass can be ordered online by CLICKING HERE.

It can also be purchased in-person at the following locations:

Union Station
1000 West Broadway

Nia Center
2900 West Broadway

Any Fifth Third Bank branch

The Louisville Free Public Library (Main Branch)
301 York Street

Passes can also be purchased by mail. Anyone interested should send a check or money order for $30 with the user's name, address and telephone number to the following address:
