Fort Campbell soldier who died in boating accident identified
The Fort Campbell soldier who was found several days after a boating accident on Kentucky Lake has been identified.
LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- The Fort Campbell soldier who was found several days after a boating accident on Kentucky Lake has been identified.
Pfc. Juwan Richardson, 20, was pronounced dead May 14. Richardson, who is from Gordon, Alabama, was a petroleum supply specialist, according to the 101st Airborne Division.
Richardson received the National Defense Service Medal, Global War on Terrorism Service Medal, Army Service Ribbon and Air Assault Badge.
"Pfc. Richardson was a dedicated and hard-working member of the Strike Brigade," Lt. Col. Matthew Adamczyk, Richardson's battalion commander in 2BCT, said in a news release. "He was an integral member of the team, respected and loved by all his fellow Soldiers. His infectious positive attitude and tireless work ethic will be sorely missed. Our thoughts and prayers are with his family and loved ones during this difficult time."
The case of the boating accident is still under investigation.
