Norton Commons prepares for its 4th Annual Art Festival
Keith Kaiser features some artists getting ready for an artsy weekend.
LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- The 4th annual Norton Commons Art Festival and Spring Home Showcase is a two-day event for families to explore the region's dynamic arts and crafts, music and food scenes.
The event is Saturday, May 19 and Sunday, May 20, 2018 from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. in the heart of Norton Commons' Town Center. More than 18 finished homes will be available to tour and more than 100 artists and local vendors will be on display. Inspired local painters, jewelry makers, sculptors, potters, woodworkers, soap milliners, and textile workers will showcase their works.
Commonwealth Tap will host a Beer and Wine Garden featuring local microbrews and wine. Other food vendors, bars and restaurants will be open for business.
Expect live performances from local musicians playing jazz, bluegrass and rock.
11 a.m.- 1 p.m.: Walker & Kays (jazz quartet with vocals)
1 p.m. - 3 p.m.: Millers Folly (bluegrass)
3 p.m. - 5p.m.: Handcar Prophets (classic rock)
11 a.m. - 1 p.m.: Bomar & Ritter (singer/songwriter)
1 p.m. - 3 p.m.: Whiskey Bent Valley Boys (bluegrass)
3 p.m. - 5 p.m.: Ron Jones Quartet (instrumental jazz)
