Police in Bardstown seize meth, marijuana and cocaine from 2 homes
Police also seized $19,000 in cash.
LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- Three people were arrested Wednesday after police searched two Bardstown homes and found drugs and cash inside.
According to a news release, it happened May 16. That's when police say they served search warrants at homes in the 200 block of Barberry Lane and the 1000 block of Famaway Drive.
Police say they found nine ounces of methamphetamine, one pound of marijuana and five ounces of cocaine. Investigators also found $19,000 in cash.
Three people were arrested: 38-year-old Christopher "Scotty" Sheckles, 42-year-old Willa Stivers and 26-year-old James Poynter.
Sheckles is charged with trafficking in a controlled substance, trafficking in marijuana, possession of a firearm by a convicted felon and tampering with physical evidence.
Stivers is facing charges of trafficking in a controlled substance, trafficking in marijuana, and possession of drug paraphernalia.
Poynter is charged with trafficking in a controlled substance and possession of drug paraphernalia.
Detectives from the Greater Hardin County Narcotics Task Force, Bardstown Police Department and Nelson County Sheriff’s Office took part in the raid.
Police say more charges could follow as the investigation continues.
