LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- Two men were killed in separate shootings in Louisville Friday night and police want to know who pulled the triggers.

Neighbors remembered the life lost near Cecil Avenue and West Broadway a day after a man was shot and killed.

Friends posted pictures and left messages at a makeshift memorial.

Kay Pope has lived in the area for more than a decade and heard the gunshots around 10:30 Friday night saw people running to help the victim.

“All I heard was screaming and hollering. They did it they did it. They shot him. They shot him and I said oh no not again,” Pope said.

LMPD says the man in his 30s was rushed to the hospital where he died. He was the second man killed in just a matter of hours.

A man was found shot and killed around 8 p.m. Friday at the Parkway Place housing complex.

Police are looking for suspects in both cases.

"If people don't talk. How do you catch who's doing what because there's always somebody that knows," Pope said.

Alicia Smiley, a spokesperson for LMPD, is calling on the community for answers.

"Tips are extremely important. None of this is solved in a vacuum. We're not able to do this on our own. We definitely rely on the community to be able to provide us information," Smiley said.

Anyone with information is urged to call LMPD's anonymous tip line at 574-LMPD.
