LMPD says gas station employee who shot customer calls shooting an 'accident'
Police say he was captured on surveillance video shooting the victim.
LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- Louisville Metro Police arrested a man that allegedly shot a customer at a gas station.
Police arrested 33-year-old Munye Adan on Saturday night at a BP gas station at 601 East Broadway where he had been working..
According to Louisville Metro Police, the shooting happened about 8:30 p.m. Saturday.
When police arrived, officers found a man with a gunshot wound. The victim was taken to University Hospital in serious condition.
Police say Adan was captured on surveillance video shooting the victim. Officials say he "admitted to accidentally shooting the victim" and "placing the weapon in the bathroom, after officers arrived on scene."
Adan is charged with first-degree assault and tampering with physical evidence.
Adan is being held at Louisville Metro Corrections on a $25,000 cash bond. He is expected in court on Monday.
