'WWE SmackDown Live' to begin airing on Fox under new agreement
Sources say the deal will start in October of 2019.
LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- WWE SmackDown Live is headed to Fox.
According to ESPN, WWE "has agreed in principle" to bring the program to the network.
ESPN reports the deal is for five years and is worth a total value of more than $1 billion.
Sources say the deal will start in October of 2019. The show will air on Friday nights.
WWE SmackDown Live currently airs on Tuesdays and has averaged just under 2.6 million viewers per week in 2018. WWE Monday Night Raw has attracted an average of about 3 million viewers.
