POLICE: Indiana man mistakenly received liquid THC valued at $14,000 in mail
Columbus Police say the man made the discovery on Monday and then contacted officials.
COLUMBUS, Ind. (WDRB) -- Columbus Police say a local resident received something in the mail he was not expecting.
The man, who authorities have not identified, checked his mailbox and found a box containing 358 packages of liquid THC. Authorities say the drugs have a street value of more than $14,000.
Columbus Police say the man made the discovery on Monday and then contacted police. Officials do not know who sent the drugs.
In a statement on Facebook about the liquid THC, police said: "So on the outside chance we have your dope and you want to come and claim it, stop by the Columbus Police Department during regular business hours and talk to the nice officer at our courtesy desk and don't forget to bring your ID card."
Authorities say a similar incident happened in Columbus last year, when five pounds of marijuana were sent to the wrong house.
