Indiana teenager jumps out window to escape fire that killed parents and brother
LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- An Indiana teenager jumped out of a window to survive a house fire that killed her family.
Flames were shooting out of the Fort Wayne home on Saturday when firefighters arrived. It took several crews two hours to put out the flames.
Amber and Larry Shaw and their 12-year-old son Elijah were killed. The 17-year-old daughter made it to safety by jumping out of the second story window. She hurt her leg in the fall.
Investigators are still trying to figure out what started the fire.
A GoFundMe campaign has been started to help pay for funeral and medical expenses.
